June 2018 Conference contribution, Halle, Germany

Holger Klose gave a talk at the 7th international Bioeconomy Conference in Halle from 6th – 7th of June, on “Alternative biomasses for integrated biorefinery concepts”.

   

May 2018 Conference contribution, Ghent, Belgium

The RRB-14, the 14th international conference on renewable resources and biorefineries took place from 30.-31. May and 1. June 2018 in Ghent. Holger Klose gave a talk on “Advanced pulping of perennial plants-Synergies between pretreatment and feedstocks”. Additionally, Philipp Grande gave a talk on “OrganoCat: Biomass fractionation for an integrated biorefinery concept to fully valorize lignocellulosic biomass”.

May 2018 Conference Contribution, Copenhagen, Denmark

The EUBCE 2018, the 26th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition, took place from 14.-15. May 2018. Silvia Schrey, Nicolai Jablonowski and Philipp Grande contributed to the conference with a poster presentation.

  

April 2018 General meeting

On the 25th of April the general meeting of the AP3 group was held in Bonn. The meeting took place at the chair for Technology and Innovation Management in Agribusiness. Representatives of the eight AP3 core groups participated in the meeting and the progress of the different work packages was presented.

  

September 2017 General meeting

The first general Meeting of the AP3 group took place on the 29th of September at the Institute for Botany and Molecular Genetics, RWTH Aachen University.

  

September 2017 Workshop

The BioSC workshop “Applied Perennial Plant Pulping” took place on the 22nd September in Aachen. Around 30 participants were able to gain new knowledge on different strategies for the conversion of biomass.

  

September 2017 BioSC Spotlight

“BioSC Spotlight on alternative paths of utilisation of the cup plant” was organized on 01.09.2017 at Campus Klein-Altendorf to exchange knowledge and latest research results about the low input plant Silphium. Holger Klose gave a talk on comparing different perennial biomasses for their complete valorisation in a biorefinery.

 

   

April 2017  Kickoff meeting

The first meeting of the AP3 project was held on the 7th of April in Aachen and took place at the Institute for Botany and Molecular Genetics, RWTH Aachen University.
