Towards a sustainable bioeconomy

RWTHextern - Das Bürgerforum in cooperation with the Bioeconomy Science Center

Lecture series in the course of the Bioeconomy Year of Science (in German)

RWTH Aachen University, October/November 2021

How can the growing world population be supplied with high-quality food? How can the impact of humans on the earth's climate be minimized? How can raw materials and energy be provided sustainably? One answer to these challenges is the development of a bioeconomy - a form of economy based on the use of biological resources and orientated towards natural material cycles. In the context of the current Year of Science, experts from the Bioeconomy Science Center (BioSC) NRW will present selected current topics relating to the bioeconomy and discuss them with the audience. The lectures will be held in German.
