European Networks Conference on Algal and Plant Photosynthesis

ENCAPP 2016, the European Networks Conference on Algal and Plant Photosynthesis, is the final open event organized by two Marie Curie Initial training networks: AccliPhot and PHOTO.COMM. Registration and call for abstracts is now open for ENCAPP 2016 taking place in Malta 26-29 April 2016 (www.encapp2016.eu)

The conference covers a broad spectrum of topics around plant and algal photosynthesis: from modelling approaches and experimental research on the molecular level to studies on the behaviour of communities to the industrial cultivation and optimisation of usage of photosynthetic organisms.

There are nine sessions at the ENCAPP 2016:

  • BioSC Session: Innovative algae research for a bio-based economy
  • Photosynthetic electron flow
  • CO2 & carbon metabolism
  • Light acclimation
  • Engineering
  • Chloroplast structure and assembly
  • Omics
  • Communities
  • Industrial cultivation

Abstracts submitted before 31st December 2015 are being considered for oral or poster presentation.

Please note that the Young Algaeneers Symposium (YAS 2016) will take place at the same city in Malta from 23-25th April right prior to ENCAPP. This symposium is especially dedicated to young research scientist. Information will also follow on: www.encapp2016.eu.
