Ladies and Gentlemen,
we are pleased to present you the year-end issue 2021 of the BioSC Newsletter. The NRW strategy project BioSC is now in its third funding phase, in which multidisciplinary and integrated bioeconomy research in NRW will be further advanced. Six SEED FUND 3.0 projects will start in early 2022, which we present here.
We look back on the Science Year 2020|21 Bioeconomy, on the 25th BioSC Lecture and on BioSC activities in the field of education. In particular, we would like to mention the current call for applications for the Christian Patermann Award. Proposals from within the BioSC can be submitted until 16 January 2022.
Since spring 2021, the BioSC office supports the International Advisory Council on Global Bioeconomy as scientific secretariat. This will provide the BioSC with a variety of new opportunities for international networking. In early 2022, a new website will go online, providing information on the IACGB and its activities as well as on bioeconomy developments worldwide.
Also in early 2022, there will be a relaunch of the BioSC Newsletter and we would be very pleased to have you subscribe again. You will find the subscription form in this newsletter.
The office wishes all members, friends and partners of the BioSC a Merry Christmas and a good start into 2022! Stay healthy.
