Die Ausschreibung zielt ab auf die Entwicklung biologischer Produktionssysteme, die sich durch ein neuartiges Sustratspektrum, eine erhöhte Produktvielfalt oder eine hohe Produktionseffizienz auszeichnen. Das Einsatzspektrum reicht dabei von Lebensmitteln und Medikamenten bis hin zu chemischen Komponenten für industrielle Produkte.

 

"Mikrobielle Biofabriken für die industrielle Bioökonomie" (BMBF)

Gefördert werden FuE-Vorhaben mit dem Ziel, neue, robuste und vielseitig anwendbare Mikroorganismen für die industrielle Biotechnologie zu identifizieren und zu Plattformorganismen für die industrielle Nutzung in einer Bioökonomie weiterzuentwickeln. Dabei reichen die möglichen FuE-Aktivitäten von der Entwicklung von Hochdurchsatz-Screening-Methoden über die Charakterisierung und genetische Optimierung der Mikroorganismen bis zur Entwicklung innovativer Verfahrens- und Kultivierungskonzepte.
