On May 11, 2022, the eighth internal retreat for BioSC members took place in Düsseldorf. New and ongoing projects of the NRW Strategy Project BioSC were presented with short talks and posters. This was followed by a workshop on future opportunities for collaboration in various thematic areas. In parallel, the BioSC doctoral students gathered new input for their own doctoral topics in the workshop "Bioeconomy, Circular Economy, Sustainability, Carbon Footprint - Connections to the own doctoral project and identification of interdisciplinary linkage and development opportunities". Prof. Sandra Venghaus (RWTH Aachen/Forschungszentrum Jülich) and Dr. Till Tiso (RWTH Aachen) were awarded the BioSC Supervision Award 2022.
