The development and implementation of a sustainable bio-based economy are based on the education of young people. In all fields of the knowledge-based bioeconomy experts are urgently required today. Therefore, the BioSC aims for a transdisciplinary education of graduates at a top international level. The transfer of basic knowledge and the holistic understanding of bioeconomy challenges are therefore the main focus of the BioSC graduate education approach.

In addition to research, the interdisciplinary further education of doctoral students is a core task of the BioSC. The aim of the training offers is to convey the competences and experiences of young scientists for the special interdisciplinary challenges in the bioeconomy.

With the aim of providing the BioSC doctoral students, in addition to their disciplinary expertise, with a comprehensive overview of the concept of bioeconomy and interdisciplinary skills, a graduate education concept has been developed. The program consists of modules that can be chosen by doctoral students in consultation with their supervisors.
