Research topics and profile (related to bioeconomy)

Within BioSC, the research group Computer Science 12 at RWTH Aachen University („Software and Tools for Computational Engineering“, STCE) develops software tools for numerical simulation in bioeconomy projects. Our special focus is on first- and higher-order adjoint methods for sensitivity analysis, optimization and parameter estimation.

Contributions to BioSC

STCE deals with the application of software for Algorithmic Differentiation to bioeconomic numerical models aiming for parameter sensitivity analysis and calibration. Moreover, education and support are offered to (potential) users of the numerical methods and software tools provided.
