Research topics and profile (related to bioeconomy)

In research and teaching, our main focus is on the economic evaluation of production and the measurement of preferences and utility in the fields of digitalization and sustainability/bioeconomy. Through our analyses it is possible to economically evaluate projects and to explore economic potentials, or to design production more efficiently. Furthermore, it is possible to reveal actions that can be taken to ensure a sufficient supply with commodities and factors potentially increase product sales. Thus, different kinds of economic analyses as well as economic experiments are applied.

Contributions to BioSC

The group contributes to the research area " Economy and social implications of the bioeconomy" with economic evaluations and acceptance analyses. This includes:

  • The development of economic indicators for the evaluation of bioeconomic transformations.
  • The assessment of the acceptance of products from bioeconomy and the commodity supply for bioeconomy.
