Scientists, practitioners and representatives from central organizations met at Campus Klein-Altendorf on September 1st, 2017 to exchange about the low-input plant Silphium. Besides several talks there was as well a guided tour to see the field experiments. The participants jointly agreed that cup plant has still a high potential.

BioSC scientists and external experts will present their latest results and discuss current developments regarding cultivation and utilisation of Silphie. The event will be in German. moreThe BioSC lecture on "Inspired by nature - Development of sustainable flavour modifiers" will be given on the 4th of August 11.30 am at Forschungszentrum Jülich by Dr. Jakob Ley, Director Ingredient Research Flavour & Nutrition at Symrise AG. Dr. Ley is group leader for the development of aroma and taste modulation compounds.
