3rd BioSC Forum and PhD-Training on 22 and 23 November in Cologne

BioSC Forum

On 22nd November, the symposium was followed by the 3rd BioSC forum, the internal annual conference of the BioSC, in Cologne. Around 140 scientists from almost all Core Groups of the BioSC took part in the event and introduced results and developments from BioSC projects. In addition to the oral presentations, there were two posters sessions, which offered the possibility for discussion and scientific exchange. The resonance of the participants was very positive. There will be a BioSC-forum next November after the BioSC-symposium again.

PhD Training

On 23rd November, thirteen selected PhDs students from BioSC Core Groups had the possibility to improve their presentation and communication abilities in interdisciplinary groups in the Workshop "Make an Impact - Self-Marketing Skills for Academics". The Workshop was offered by the experienced trainer Julie Stearns (ImpulsePlus), and was appreciated by the participants as very helpful for the advancement of their presentation and communication abilities, in particular in a highly interdisciplinary working sphere like the bioeconomy.
