The NRW PhD Day aims at gathering young scientists from different scientific fields and locations in NRW and providing them a frame for networking and discussions about future developments and career paths in the bioeconomy.
The topic of Industry 4.0 with the challenges of necessary automation and digitalisation is also becoming increasingly relevant in the bioeconomy. Automation processes, robotics, AI-supported developments, modelling, digital twins, miniaturisation (mobility, sample size) and/or upscaling of analytical methods can have a high impact on the efficiency. But how are such possibilities integrated and used for optimisation? What completely new possibilities arise from these new methods? And what are the benefits and challenges of automation and/or digitalisationin agriculture and the biobased industry?
